User Groups
Except for the "Administrator" user group, you can define the permissions of all other user groups or create new groups under Administration > General > User Groups. With the many configuration options, you can perfectly reflect your company's hierarchy. Writing permissions can be granted not only "globally" but also restricted to one's own department or subordinate employees.
The "scope" of a right (own department, subordinate employees, etc.) can now also be assigned to entire departments, locations, or personnel categories. You can define which ones are relevant at the very end, below the rights. Multiple selections are possible here. This way, it is possible, for example, to authorize an employee to access the master data for a specific location, regardless of whether this person is a supervisor or a member of the area. Regarding departments, this function enables, for example, a person to access the vacation overview of another department to facilitate cross-departmental vacation planning.
It is also possible to restrict access to employees with a specific personnel category. For instance, dispatchers can be authorized to schedule only employees from certain trades (e.g., rigging).
In the master data, you can assign these user groups to your employees. An employee can be assigned to multiple groups. In this case, the group with the "highest" right applies to the employee. For example, if a right is set to "write" in one of the groups, they have writing permissions. If you want to grant additional special rights to only one or a few employees, you can create a new user group with just these special rights and assign it to the respective employees. Existing user groups can also be easily copied and then adjusted to include the additional rights.
For each user group, you can specify a specific period during which the recorded working hours are automatically approved. To do this, enter the period in the respective user group and activate the automatic approval under Administration > Time Tracking > General.
